As a 45 year old guy that has been shooting all traditional since I was 9–Let me say this-
What you are shooting is a bent stick and string-It is traditional-
You have not been shooting traditional equipment for very long and if you make a major new bow purchase, you may not be happy with it-
I would stick with what you have-continue to shoot and improve your accuracy and your confidence.
Shoot as many of your friend’s and acquaintances bows as possible. Shoot bows from dealers and bowyers too-
After a while, you will have a much better idea of what you like and more importantly, what you do not like-
Then, you will know what weight range you are comfortable with and what other features you want in a bow-
Then, you will most like end up buying a new bow-
Most of us traditional guys have more than one bow-But I know a few that only have one and they make good use of it-
If you are consistantly killing a turkey sized target out to 20 yards after only 2 months, I’d say you are well on your way to being a fine archer and bowhunter-
Good luck on your Journey–
P.J.

Newguy, I agree with all of the above I would also add that using traditional gear has a life and pace of it’s own, relax enjoy what you are using you have a lifetime to try other bows, when it’s time to change you wont have to ask the question.

Newguy,
just remember it’s the journey that is important. Move from aluminum to carbon to wood as an arrow material, learn how to make your own arrows, try a longbow or a selfbow, leave the camo at home when you go hunting next or stay out of the trees and on the ground one year. There is no right or wrong and somewhere along the way you will learn what is right for you. What each of us uses is where we are in relationship to our own journey.
Larry
PS Right now I am having a difficult time with my longbow, went back to the recurve last season, but will not let him beat me!!
