I just ordered a dozen CX Heritage carbons with the wood grain finish. I know several of you have or are shooting these. They look fantastic and i was just wondering after abuse from lots of shooting targets, and stumping and even hunting…does the finish eventually come off? peel? flake?

I have some Gold Tip Traditional arrows and have shot each of them over 500 time each (if If I had to guess). They have hit stumps, round bails, foam targets, dirt and rocks, pumpkins (thats fun!) basically everthing but live game so far. So far they haven’t even developed a noticable scratch. The only thing I notice is that the stencled on label is wearing off. But the finish still looks great!

Currently shooting the CX Heritage 150s and have yet to wear the finish off. I have hit live game, no issues with finish either and shot everything else abusing these…. they just keep on looking great.

I am shooting beman mfx with the wood grain finish and after awhile all of them started loosing the finish on the section where they penatrate the target. however I am shooting into a layered carpet target which is just hard on arrows in general. Other than that I love the shafting

The only carbon I will shoot, have hit trees, rocks, had them ricochet off all kinds of stuff when stumping have not broken a shaft yet these are tough mothers! I had one arrow that I blew nock out of and it kind of split on that end, I took the feathers off reversed and footed the bad end and am using it for a small game arrow still going strong! Only issue I have is that they are an import I wish they were made in the USA!
