been a long winter. I don’t have anywhere to shoot my bow indoors and there is 3 feet of snow in my yard. I haven’t shot my bow since mid, December. between college and not having anywhere to shoot, I am getting anxious to shoot a few arrows.

I see this is your first post.

Welcome to the forum! Great people here, Great advise and stories. You will love it here.

I feel the same way. We are finally down to about 1.5 feet and its setting up enough that I have been shooting a lot outside. spent the last couple months shooting in my garage and drive way.

Wont be long and grass will be up and spring will finally be here.

Yesterday I got the spring bug and decided I was going to get my bowfishing boat out and start working on it. Got stuck 4 times trying to get it from my storage garage to my main garage. took 3 hours to get it 300 feet…lol but I made it. Spring better get here quick, im getting over anxious!

Yes, welcome to the forum also! You are not alone. A part of my work has had me out in the field all winter and I utterly can’t stand the thought of going outside, putting boots and all that crap on anymore, looking at single digit temps in the a.m.’s, etc., etc. Most of us “up here” need a change of pace real bad or we’ll be declared a psychological disaster area:lol:

I hear ya. My neighbor with the basement range went and got married and became a dad in the process, and suddenly his basement isn’t available all that much for bad weather shooting anymore. As a result, I did a lot more shooting outside in the backyard as much as possible through the winter, which ultimately has been a good thing. It’s made me shoot a lot more in adverse conditions and at a bit longer ranges than the basement allows.

But now I’m really itching for the snow to melt enough to get out in the woods and rove!!!

thanks for the welcome fellas. I am glad to join discussion with other traditional archery enthusiasts as most of the people around me are now crossbow shooters and it is hard to even talk real archery around them.
