I just bought an old Bear Grizzly recurve off ebay. It’s a 50#’er. I’m using Carbon Express Heritage 150s’ in my 45 lb longbow. From looking at the CE chart, looks like they’re OK in the 50# range. I’d hate to buy more as they weren’t cheap! Any issues of concern I should be aware of?

Just shoot a few and see what happens. But first, find a reliable scale and check the true draw weight of the Bear. The old ones are notorious for being off, sometimes way off, either direction. You may have to go up or down in point weight to compensate, but I’ll bet they’ll work. Cheap and easy to find out.

Good advice! I never even thought of the weight issue:( Just look under the strike / side plate . The bow poundage used to be written there , on the older Bear bows.
