Hi, all.. I have a PSE Youth / Womens Take down recurve, that I want to paint the limbs pink and give to my 9 year old granddaughter.

Does anyone have any recommendations regarding paint, and or do’s and don’ts. Much appreciated.

Hay Steve, good to see you back! As for paint, I have no good advice except to say that spray paints have gotten a lot better in the last ten years. You’ll probably get good results with whatever you try…

The color will probably be a bigger indicator of success. Paint it her favorite color, and you’ll be the best grandpa ever. My daughter is into Lime Green these days. Seems that’s a hip color among the young ladies. I’m just say’en find out what she likes, and paint it that color 8)

Some late advise. Paints that are geared toward plastics would be better than general purpose spray paints. Also surface prep is crital. Might want to etch the surface with steel wool and then wipe down with what ever is recommended by the paint manufacturer. Usually mineral spirits. Paints for plastics also take about 1 week to fully harden. Hope this helps.
