        I’m just wondering if having a 27.5 draw draw length determines what length bow I should buy. Just a thought!

        Any advise would be greatly appreciated

          Yes it will, BUT… what type of bow are you asking about? Recurve, longbow, high bred, etc? It is best to ask the bowyer for their recommendations. Each one will be a little different and there is no “rule of thumb” that covers all styles of bows.

            Arne has a good point. I draw 28.5″. I shoot a 68″ longbow. I am getting a 54″ recurve. Even recurves can be quite different. My old recurve is a 62″. Some designs (JavaMan, or Shrew I think) can get away with a shorter bow. Others need the length to prevent stacking and increase speed. I am no expert, so the best thing I can say is try to get out and shoot as many different bows as you can. Don’t worry too much about length or draw weight (as long as you are legal). Find what you are comfortable with and build on that. Be well.
