        Howdy!

I’m interested in “upgrading” my equipment, and wanted to get some input from a variety of people, as to where to begin i.e. dealers, sites, private seller, etc.? Of course, I want to shoot every bow that piques my interest, but I realize  that’s not always an option, right?

Anyhow, I would usually start at 3Rivers, but their bow selection doesn’t really make the cut.

Where do you start when buying a new bow?

        Thanks,

I’ve bought my last several bows at my favorite place to spend money I don’t have on stuff I don’t need.

          eBay……………….. recurve bow

Check out Rocky Mountain Specialty gear – they have a large selection of new and used traditional bows. Check out the archery events search and the club’s listed on this site – look for or ask about shoots/ events that show bowyers attending ie a vendors row.

Big Jim from Big Jim’s Bow Company keeps a stock of used bows.

                Hey Hoot,

what kind of bow do you have in mind? Self bow, Hill style long bow, modern long bow, recurves? Or are you completely open to anything?
