Hi everyone ! Been thinking about trying traditional archery for a while and decided to go for it. I picked up a Bob Lee signature recurve in 46 lb 60 inch. Tried several different bows and settled on this one, felt smoother and i shot it very well. I would appreciate any experiences on this brand. Also can i get a fast flight replacement string from the Manufacture or will i need to go after market. On another note should i unstring it after every use as i shoot daily or is it safe to leave it strung for a longer period of time.

        Thanks for any input.

        Dan

You can leave recurves strung as long as you like, in my experience. It’s safer to leave the bow strung and not risk twisting the limb every time you string/unstring it.

If you won’t be using it for a month or more, maybe unstring it.

You can get strings just about anywhere… Just need to specify the length and decide if you want flemish or endless loop style…

Be sure the manufacturer says the bow is safe to use with a fast flight string it could effect your warranty and possibly your safety.

I believe it is fast flight, it has the black and tan coloring in i believe you call it a flemish twist. It doesn’t have serving on the loop ends.

Bob Lee bows are built for fat flight. I’ve been shooting Bob Lee bows since the late 80’s. You wont find a smoother bow, and they dont slack in the “speed” department either.

As far as strings, just call Rob and he will fix you up with a string. I prefer endless loop strings over the flemish twist, but Rob will know what you need…
