Ok so I’m new to the using of blinds. I just purchaced a Killzone 360 degree blind and looking to use it for antelope this summer and deer in the fall. What is your experiences using blinds and any recomendations for the use of a blind and shooting out of them? THanks.

I’ve had some success with blinds and scared deer with them also. Around here it seems like you really must blend them in or the deer notice them right away. What I found that works best is to put it under some evergreen boughs. Then put branches in front. I find most blinds are too low in the roof area to draw my recurve

For the same reasons Fubar mentions, and more, I prefer brush blinds. By the time I brush-in a tent blind I could have built a brush blind … in most places, and that’s the kicker. There are places in open country, say for pronghorn, where a tent blind is about the only choice. Aside from brushing it in, it’s a good idea to set it up and leave it for several days before you hunt from it, to allow the animals to get accustomed to it, and for the fabric and other smells to air out … assuming someone doesn’t steal it during that time. Just one hunter’s opinion. dp

I usually spot and stalk, but that is not a possiblity with the antelope down in the owyhee region I’m hunting in august. This fall I’m doing a deer hunt with my brother in Montana and the area he says needs a blind so this will be my first time hunting deer from a non-brush blind. Thanks for the tips!
