Well, I’ve often said of myself on bad days, “I could do better blind.” I hope the link works …

Wow! Now that’s inspirational. I like the way he describes the feel of the shot proving that form trumps everything 8)

All joking aside – this young man’s skills are absolutely Magnificent– and a joy to behold—more power to him. Looks like everyone else is going to have to “Pony Up”.

Same old truths– focus – perform the fundamentals flawlessly under pressure, I am still working on it—

I have a friend with tunnel vision. So bad, if he looses the curser on the screen, he has to ask someone to find it for him.

But don’t play mini-golf with the guy. It rarely takes more than 1 putt to get the ball in the hole, no matter what.

And the master say, focus till you see only what you will hit.

Maybe all that extra vision gets in the way!

Looking at the archery photos from the Olympics, I noticed something. It seems all the shooters are using a tab release as opposed to a glove. Does anyone know if this is regulation or are the tabs just better? BTW: as for the archer, WOW.

                      🙂

I don’t know if it is regulation, but my understanding is that that a tab is more accurate for competition shooting from talking to competitive shooters.

Gloves are allowed but tabs are preferred for release accuracy as skif said, more consistent surface. My understanding is that as long as it doesn’t assist the draw or release, such as a release aid, it’s allowed.

                            God bless that archer….:D

Incredible how our sport can make the world a bit smaller…

As long as my woods are deep and my forest wild, and no human inhabitants, I’m ok with it 8)

                              Very cool story.

And while they certainly aren’t low-tech bows by any means, I’m glad to see that the Olympics is still strict about not allowing compounds nor mechanical releases. I hope that stays in place.

What I don’t understand is that he is legally blind….so am I when I don’t have my contacts in. What I would like to know is did he shoot with no contacts in or what? I found this article and it explains it a little more.
