My brother is moving and had to get rid of a lot stuff. Part of that “stuff” was his liberty longbow and two dozen RRA arrows tipped with Magnus heads. The cool thing is these arrows were made by Cicle himself. I knew Paula and Cicle preaty well, but have since lost track of them. These arrows remind me of their kind and warm personalities and of their great smelling shop. Im dedicating this season to Paula, Cicle, and Rogue River Archery. Im also setting a couple of the sweet woodies aside, adding them to my collection!
I also found an arrow I had in my quiver the day I watched the twin towers fall. Its amazing how something as simple as an arrow transends time and space; and put me back in my 2001 headspace.
Another realization came to me from unwraping this time capsule–unlike the rest of the world; traditional archery hasn’t changed that much.
