I have hip quivers, back quivers, tried strap on quivers didn’t really like any of them for stumping, 3D shooting etc! So I decided to come up with my own design, a kind of take off from a safarituff side quiver! i call them BirchBark rovers , quivers are very functional a no two are the same, each one is unique, I have built about 12 of them so far plus my proto types, they work real well and are litewight and durable! Here are a couple of designs!

That’s some attractive and functional-looking work!

That’s some pretty work there Rip. I’d hafta dangle one of those squirrel tails from the bottom end though. Speaking of which, I’d gladly swap you a grey squirrel tail for a black one if you ever come across any more this next season. That was a pretty black one you posted last fall. I tie my own flies and spinner tails.

Whats funny is sometimes those damn Black Squirrels have puny tails, the one I shot was a big boy but his tail wasn’t much! I shot at a couple of Grays that have real nice tails, if I ever get a realnice Black tail one I will just send it to you!In fact my neighbor shoots Black squirrels that invade his bird feeder, doesn’t keep them I will start asking him for the tails for you when he shoots some again!

Oh man, wish I would have seen that you guys use those tails last month. I had half a dozen black tails and around 15 black and fox squirrel tails. Gave them to my uncle so he could make something of them:shock:! I have a massive squirrel population at my house so I can shoot you some if ya need.

We have tons of the greys here but the black or reddish ones are what we could use since they are not readily available. Don’t mean to hi-jack the thread but pm me if you get any, I’d love to have a few.
Thanks,
Duncan
