SAM,SAM,SAM,….you’re going to feel any bow after an hour straight of pullin’. Ease into it so it stays fun. Hope you find a straight stick you really like and enjoy shooting. Look forward to hearing about your progress in the switch

oh i am only starting out with about 20 minutes at the range (back yard) to get back into it, but i was reffering to even when i shot everyday, i dont know i just feel like i would be more accurate with a lighter bow… now does any one have a suggestion on a good arrow weight/spine for a 45# longbow? i have a 28″ draw and i’m shooting 2117 30″ aluminum arrows with a 220 gr point right now for my recurve…

Hi Sam, I’m a newbie here so I can’t say welcome back! Sounds like you’ve got some bad GAS (gear aquisition syndrome that is) 😀

                Sam,

I’m right there with you on looking at the Montana. I’m currently shooting an older (’70s model) Bear Grizzly, but want to get a longbow. I went to the bow shop and shot the Montana and really enjoyed it.

I’m still a newbie at shooting traditional, so can’t help you with details, but can say I did like the Montana.
