I was reading things on Bart and I always thought he was killed by a bear . After reading several articles it sounds like we never figured out how he died. Does anyone know or will we ever know ?

Used to love reading Paul Schaefer articles in Bowhunter years ago. I can’t remember all who he hunted with…I’ll bet I read about Bart though. Seems like an interesting chap. Wayne

Strange I never even heard about Bart until I heard a song that Chad Slage song about him. I totaly agree he sounds like one of the last wild men!

that’s a great article but if you google his name and look at the obit it somewhat states that it was not determent how he died ???? We don’t know if he died and was eaten or was killed and eaten ???

That is very true. I imagine that since he was alone in the Yukon the exact cause of death will remain a mystery. I meant to say something to that effect in my first post. Sorry.
