I am in the market for a ground blind and the only one that has really caught my eye are these Barronett Blinds. They seem to be the only ground blind that has enough clearance for us Traditional shooters but I have never seen one in person. Has anyone ever used one before or any other recommendations for a ground blind for Turkey Hunting?

Have you looked at the Hidden Hunter blind at http://www.shrewbows.com/ I have heard good things about them. I have not used either blind. I use a standard size blind I got on special at Dick when they were a close out. I just have adapted.

I took a gamble and went out and bought a Barronett Big Mike blind…it was half off and figured I can always return it if I do not like it. After setting it up and drawing my bow back a few times in it, the blind seems like it will work just fine for turkey hunting this year! The weight sucks when all said and done being at just shy of 20lbs but at least the pack comes with arm straps that you can wear it like a back pack.

Overall I am happy with it and this snow needs to melt now so I can start practicing using it!

I used the Big Mike to take my first turkey this past fall. Plenty of room with my 62″ longbow. The Big Mike has windows that open lower than other Barronett models. Waited for the them to be on sale and picked up a second one.

My only other experience with blinds were Ameristep, but I do recommend the Big Mike. JM

I do like it still have not shot out of it yet but once the weather breaks it will be game on. I was thinking that I would be able to fit 2 people sitting in the blind and I think it would be difficult using a longbow.
