Is the grizzly 14 inch handsaw good enough to cut risers out ?

I would think so. I have a 14 inch delta and it works fine.

I looked at the Grizzly Bandsaw on their website. Looks good to me. It comes with bearing guides, which are usually after market upgrades. My 14 inch delta bandsaw cost the same as the Griz without bearings. Looks like it has a good guide rail system too.

Tell you what, you get the griz, and I’ll trade you my delta for it 😆

I have an old Harbor Freight, and can tell you that as long as the blade guides are screw adjustable, you should be good. My HF models does NOT have them and if and when the guide blocks shift, the blade will wander.

Someday I will design and build my own roller guides, mainly because I want to start building bows again too.
