I just got a 66″ 45# Bamabow longbow on Ebay. Does anybody know anything about them?

Hi Jim! Welcome to the campfire. We’ve had some discussions here in the past about Bama Bows. I think everyone who had one loved it. I don’t think they are being made anymore, but I could be wrong. Type “bama” (without quotes) into the search box above to find some of the threads. Not all will be about Bama Bows as the search will also bring up words like Alabama, etc. (Our search thing is funky in that it doesn’t like multiple word searches.) Good luck. Hopefully, some members who own one will chime in.

            Hi Jim

Ditto what Robin said – always heard good things about Bama Bows! Used to be a lot of discussions about them on the forums, all very positive as I recall. Maybe one of the other members will pop up with some current info —

Hello. BamaBows are great bows. I currently own 3, but have had as many as 5 at one time. The bowyers name is Nate Steele. He stopped building bows a few years ago due to having kids and needing insurance. Last I heard he was driving a truck.  He is a stand-up guy who built sweet bows and stood behind his work with old school devotion. He once offered to replace a bow that developed a problem that I bought used off ebay. His policy was lifetime warranty to original buyer, so it was technically out of warranty. I upgraded to his top of the line model so at least he could recoup his material cost and some profit. If you do a search on TradGang you’ll find lots of info on his bows, along with heaps of praise. I have never heard a single negative thing about Nate or his bows. Also, on Pinterest there is a page devoted to his bows, a good place to see some of his work. Enjoy your new bow!

                Jim,

If you ever decide to sell it give me a heads up, I could use one in that weight.

Daniel I am interested in selling it. It is a LH bow.

                    Jim,

That’s unfortunate, I’m a rightly. I’d really like one in that weight too.
