For those folk, like me, who like to use stick on rests, here’s a cheapie that I make for myself. They work great and are just a little more than nothing to make. 🙂
First you need a “clip strip.” You can get these at just about any retail store…they are used to show merchandise hanging from the shelves. Most will just give you some as they throw them away when empty. One clip strip will make about a dozen arrow rests.
You need scissors, and double stick tape, and a Bic lighter. The first thing to do is set out the clip strip for cutting.
Cut to rough shape:
Then to shape desired for bow:
Use some double stick tape to cover back and trim:
I use a Bic lighter to “gently” head the clip at the joint to bend out slightly.
When put on bow, you have to tilt the front very slightly to level the retaining finger. You can adjust length of that finger, and overall shape of rest to suit yourself.

Be prepared George for our Webmother to come after you to use this for a Tip of the Week, as it’s a good one. 😀

Thanks for the idea George. We have needed something like this for repairing the bows we use to teach kids.

Wow, a great moderator and a mind reader!
George, may I use this for a Tip of the Week? There’s a hat in it for you. Oh, I’d better send Smithhammer’s hat today! 😳 You guys are the best!

Cool tip George, imagination is a wonderful thing. I would change “Cheap” to “Wise” in your thread title.

Robin, tip of the week is fine with me. George
