arrow flight issue

I just got some new arrows, and I was shooting them through paper after I noticed some odd flying. When I watched it fly through the paper, it tore lengthwise. What is the best way to correct this flight problem, because at 20yds, any slight mishap on my part is magnified 10x. Thanks guys.

I would start by determining if the shaft is too stiff or too weak.I start by cutting the feathers off one of your arrows.You can also move your nock point up above 5/8″ above square.This will normally give you a slightly nock high arrow and sometimes makes your release a little more forgiving.Now you can start bareshaft testing,this works best with a soft foam target.Start at 15 yards and shoot a couple of arrows.In most cases if you have nock left arrows(weak spine),nock right arrows(too stiff).This will give you a good starting point.If your arrows are too weak you can cut a little at a time off your arrow or decrease point weight.Too stiff add more point weight.Hope this helps. By looking at the paper tear you should be able to see if you have a spine or nock point issue. One of the things I like about paper tuning is that the fletching can stay on the arrow.
