I am new to your ranks after being a compound shooter/hunter for 32 years but last fall I make the decision to go traditional. At 58 years old not an easy decision to make. After much research I decided on a Martin Hunter as my first bow. I just picked it up today and those first 30 arrows are a blur but needless to say I feel like a kid again! The bow is silky smooth and the arrows seem to go where I will them. I say this only because I thought the transition from a geared out compound to recurve would be more difficult. My only regret is not having made the switch years ago. In any case better late then never and in the immortal words of Frank Costanza, “I feel reborn, like a Pheonix, rising out of Arizona!”

Welcome! I’m fifty-one years old and made decision to switch three years ago. I have two deer seasons under my belt with a traditional bow and no kill yet.. There are a couple of bucks Out there with unusual birth marks. But, my ego was wounded much more than their flesh. Enjoy the transition. You will not regret it. 😀
