I read the April/May 2013 TBM today. A few thoughts, in no particular order.
*Congrats to Don Thomas on retirement. Enjoy!
*Whoever made the arrows in G. Fred Asbell’s article is a flat-out artist.
*The dude that won the Columbia River K&T drawing is one tough looking fella. I wouldn’t want to tangle with him and that longbow. He also carries some very attractive tackle.
*John Solomon’s article on the Altoids tin survival kit is a fun and practical idea. The Art of Manliness–probably my all-time favorite blog–had a great article called 22 Manly Ways to Reuse an Altoids Tin. Certainly worth a read. If you are not subscribed to the Art of Manliness blog, I highly recommend it.

You’re welcome! 😉 I didn’t realize how many people were bothered by it until one person asked if I could look into the problem. There are a lot of things I can’t fix/change about how the site works, but it never hurts to ask.

G Fred’s article on straight hand shooting was great. But the editor used the same picture of High elbow on page 46,, as the picture for the straght line elbow shot on page 48. It is the same picture, can we see the correct picture one of these days ? Also liked the Red Wing Hunter’s story. 🙂

The correct image is below. This was our fault, not Fred’s.
The caption should read:
A deep hook on the string puts the elbow in a very straight line. Good push-pull shooting will result. Pg. 48

No offense taken. Humans still work here, which means errors from time to time. 😀
