Hey folks,
Bit of a niche combo here, but I was wondering if anyone else is into gold melting with induction furnaces and archery?
I’ve been using a small induction furnace for melting scrap gold — super efficient and way faster than torch methods. Clean melts, minimal oxidation, and great for casting small items like rings or arrowhead tips (yes, I’ve tried making a few custom ones).
On the archery side, I mostly shoot traditional recurve bows, and I’ve recently started experimenting with hand-casting my own brass and gold-plated arrowheads just for fun and aesthetics.
Anyone else blending these two hobbies? Would love to hear what gear you’re using — both for melting and for shooting!
Cheers,
Eric
