I was looking through an old issue of Instinctive Archer Magazine and came across an ad for a Shaft Shooter Arrow Maker.

The ad wasn’t very informative, but my imagination has me thinking it may be based on a router bit cutter instead of a static blade.

I tried to find it on the web, but there are only vague references to it on some old forums. Looks like it’s no longer made.

Anyone have experience with this thing? How did it work? Was it a good tool?

I’ve been working up the juice to make a router based arrow shaft maker. I don’t like to use the word dowel when talking about arrows. Sounds to common for the high station arrows hold.

Thanks for any info you may have.

I’ve seen those adds in the past and wished I had one too. Seems like some one posted a homemade version on here a few years ago. May have been titled “make your own shafts” or something similar. But it may have been on one of those other sites.

          A member named Aeronut maybe?

Thanks Duncan. Our fine web mother sent me the article, which I am sure will help me make a good router bit arrow maker. I was just hoping to avoid having to make the tool.

I guess I am a decade too late. I know 3Rivers used to stock them, but no more. I checked ebay and none were offered. Oh well 😕

If anyone else needs that article, just let me know.
