I just skimmed through the electronic 20th anniversary issue of TBM here, hot off the digital presses, and can only say WOW! An advance peek at an issue this good is well worth the $20 annual cost alone. While you might expect such an issue to be filled with nostalgic rememberings, it’s not. Certainly, there’s a great article by Don Thomas about TJ and Larry and the founding of the magazine, but the bulk of the issues is perhaps the best mix of big game and other hunting articles I’ve seen in ages, just loaded with stuff I can’t wait to read. And best of all, it adds lots of fuel to my already burning pre-hunt anticipation. If you’ve got a premium membership, check it out. If not, well, la-de-dah you get to wait! 😛

Got my copy by mail yesterday (8/19). Didn’t realize TBM was now 20 years old! CONGRATULATIONS and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I posted something similar on TradGang and Leatherwall, but I must laud TBM (and TJ and Larry and Don) for putting their heart, soul and cash into this venture and providing a magazine that has played a leading role in this rebirth of traditional archery. I really did enjoy Don’s interview of TJ/Larry and would like to have seen an interview 5X as long as I find the whole premise of them starting the thing, selling it, and then the success they’ve achieved, to be fascinating. I have every issue and I just cannot believe 20 years have gone by. Wishing you the best and at least 20 more years. And THANKS!!!

Dang!! Haven’t got mine yet.
Hard to believe it’s been 20 years since I sold them my first cover shot. And 18 years since T.J gave me my moniker!
Best hunting mag on the market. Period!!

Only magazine of any kind I subscribe to, and only hunting magazine I read! Still feels like a family magazine rather than an industry catalog. When you don’t owe your soul to advertisers … you can still have a soul! Thanks, guys (and girls) out there in Boisetown. bb

Mine arrived yesterday, it’s been hidden so that I have something to read on vacation.
Any other time that would be grounds for divorce.
Pothunter.

Hey Weez, (and many of our advertisers) I missed a big part of the mailing list this time so it’s my fault your magazine hasn’t arrive. 😳 They will go out tomorrow and should arrive within 10 working days. I am so sorry about this. Anyone voting for me to be fired can contact T.J. 😆

Robin, You would be the last person there to get fired if it were up to me.

Oh Man… The undeniably best magazine ever. I got mine on Saturday afternoon and by Sunday evening, I had read everything cover to cover! Which is usually the norm for me, where TBM is concerned. You can’t say that about most magazines. TBM is that good! Great artcilces, great format, great writers. The Don Thomas interview on the 20th Anniversary was informative as well. I tip my hat, to TJ, Robin, Larry Fischer, Don Thomas and the entire TBM staff for all their good work and their ethic and principles that have guided the publication so successfully.
Thank you!

No problem, Robin! You know I love ya. 😀
However, a bag of your famous candy might ease the sting…
