A great stump shoot

I took my 9yr old daughter stump shootin’ this afternoon and that kid was just “on”. I usually quiz her on plants (which are edible, which poisonous, etc), but this night she was ON. She quizzed ME on plants and corrected me when I was wrong! She called all her shots, hit most of them, and when she missed she explained why her arrow went awry. At dusk we were heading back to the house and four turkeys came to roost in an oak near us. We stalked them to within 15yds and just at the moment when she said, “Wow! Look at his beard!” they flew down and away.

Man. What a kid! 🙂 I’m one proud Daddy. 🙂

Sounds like you are raising her rite .The joys of fatherhood i remember a outing with my daughter to the local wildlife park where a city boy tried to argue with her when she told me to look at the elk he tried to tell her it was a deer boy was he embaressed when the tram driver said if you look to your right you will see several bull elk boy did that put a smile on my face.:D
