So my bro-in-law is continually searching garage sales, etc. and is always coming home with interesting things, most of which he does a very good job of selling for a lot more than what he paid. A while back, he picked up 7 trad bows for a really cheap sum, among them an old Sea-Fab, a Darton, a nice mid-60’s Grizzly and a really nice #35 Bear ‘Alaskan’ that looked like it had barely been used.

One thing led to another, and he generously ended up giving me the Alaskan. At #35, I think it will be a perfect target bow for my wife, as I’ve been wanting to get her a bow anyway. And it turns out the bow was made the same year she was born, so I think it was meant to be. 😉

          Nice Bruce,

          It does look new.

your wife should be out shooting you in no time!!:D If you get her a string. 😉

thats nice – I take a bunch of bows like that when I camp and folks just love shooting them during the day – just for something to do and get folks into archery – big fun

Kat shooting her ‘new’ Alaskan for the first time tonight:

Did a little bareshafting and tuning tonight, and still some more tweaking to do, but she likes her new bow!
