Is anyone going to this shoot in Guernsey Co?

It’s the 13th and 14th of this month near Cambridge. It’s a good time with lots of good folk, vendors, and good food. :oops:Of course, the good foods over our fire.

SA, that sounds like a good time. My family is originally from east Ohio (just north of St Clairsville). I spent many a summer back there at my grandfolks place chasing groundhogs!! I usually go back sometime in the fall to visit their graves, maybe I’ll move it up and my wife and I will go next weekend. Thanks for the info. Mike.

Mike,go to Tradgang and look on their list of events for the rendezvous directions. They are raffling off a Black Widow bow. Maybe I’ll see you there.

You can also get directions through the link on our calendar of events. Just sayin’…:D
Calendar of Events can be submitted by anyone with the details for traditional shoots and events. All shoots advertised in the magazine will be posted here automatically.

😳 Didn’t mean to mislead anyone,Robin….

Wayne, no harm done. I just saw it as an opportunity to remind folks that we have a calendar, too. Sorry if I came across too Webmotherly. 😳 That was not my intention.

Any other folk thinking about going to our rendezvous? It’s not as big as alot of the others but it’s a great time for trad people in eastern Ohio. Wayne 😕

Had a good time with all my old buds! Only problem was my Elk River longbow broke on the 1st target on Sunday:cry: and had to shoot with a friends bow. Oh well….
Wayne -
😥 That’s no good at all, but I’m glad you had fun. Do you get to buy a new bow now? Do you have something to use for hunting season?
-
Luckily,Robin,I have other bows….but I have to start working up to the draw weight. My Elk River is 52# and my other longbow is 58#.It doesn’t seem like alot of difference but when you haven’t shot it for awhile….You know what I mean.
The glue let go in the handle out to the lower fade out.Again, luckily, none of the wood fractured and the bowyer is going to see if he can reglue it and put it back into the press for a few days….. No guarantees. Wayne
