These videos should work better than the last ones. This is my yard again, this time behind me to see the arrow flight..at least try to see it. First video is from 55 yards, second is from 15 yards. Same bow…40#, 1969 Carroll’s Takedown. 29″, 2016 aluminum arrows, 5″ feathers.

          Hi George,
These short videos are terrific. They make the point very well. I shoot just a little bit from distances from 30 to 40 yards or so, into a big pile of chips. This makes me want to take a few more steps back. Nice shooting. Thank you very much. dwc

Great shooting, George. Especially for an old fart. 😛 (We are the same age.) Seriously, you should be leading shooting clinics. I’m especially in awe of folks like you who can shoot with consistent accuracy while release the instant you reach full draw. I have always had to hold a second or two at full draw to check my form before releasing. But then, I sure wouldn’t want to have to mow your lawn! Good stuff, thanks. dave

Excellent shooting George! I’ve also found out that by shooting in practice at long range my accuracy greatly improves on your normal shots of 20 yards and less. Mainly discovered this while shooting long shots at sage brush while antelope hunting. Makes the 20 yard shot seem like 13 yards.
