The Idaho Traditional Bowhunters are hosting the North American Longbow Safari July 7th-8th in Stanley Idaho. This is the 30th anniversary of this shoot and we are planning on making this a memorable event.

This event is two full days of shooting 30 targets each day, 60 targets total, as well as running targets and bow birds all with longbows and wood arrows. Broadheads are also required except for the bow birds where flu-flu arrows equipped with target tips are the norm.

The club has purchased lots of new targets and promises several novelty shots as well, all in the spirit of the longbow and Howard Hill!

Start planning now for the best shoot in North America in one of the most scenic places on Earth, for more information check out the web site at Idahotraditionalbowhunters.com

The registration fee includes not only your shoot fees but a shoot memorabilia that we promise is worth the price of admission.

The shoot is limited to 400 shooters so don’t delay!

Teresa and I are giving it some consideration. I’ve attended three of them some years ago and enjoyed them immensely. My only complaint was that there were never practice targets or places and I wanted to shoot more than 30 arrows, having driven a thousand miles. Are you/has that, been corrected, Larry. It was a great time. gfa

I’m in . There is a lot of places to shoot across the rd. I always bring flu flus and stump shoot for fun. The area is surround by national forest. Idaho state bowhuntrs have had their shoots there for over 30 yrs. It is a nice location.

Well you’re right. I’ve been to the Stanley location 3 or 4 times so I should have thought about that. I remember a great restaurant that hung out over the river and what a great experience to sit out there in the sun. I wonder if it’s still there in Stanley. gfa

Fred, don’t worry we will have targets set up for practice in addition to the ranges. See you there.

Sounds like another awesome gathering. They always have been… I will be in CA visiting my son and his lovely wife then, so I will not be able to make it.

This has always been one of the best shoots in the country. Using broadheads?? It’s awesome!! The host clubs always work their butts off making sure everyone has a good time.

If you can possibly make it – do. You’ll be glad you did.

If there will be a limit of 400, think about registering right away.
