Just got a post card reminder that the Whittingham shoot is coming up in April. I have not been able to make it to that shoot for a few years, but will take another swing at it this year. I have it in the calendar so if that four letter word, work, doesn’t get in the way, I’ll be there on Friday, April 21.

It’s a nice shoot with lots of fun. Two good 3D courses, kids range, vendors, food, archery golf, and novelty targets. One of my favorites it the pop-up groundhog range.

Here’s a link for more info. ( The photo on the website link might be a little misleading. I don’t remember the scenery quite like that! )

If anyone is going, let me know. Best, dwc

Anything to do with shooting arrows at whistle pigs has got to be good!

April is when the sheep drop their lambs, so I’ll be with that.  This may be the last year I actively farm though as the kids are gone.  We’ll see…  Sure would like to just get up and go.

Have fun if you go, and shoot a groundhog for me (insert happy killer face emoji here)

From what I understand, farming anything other than turnips, especially anything that eats and drinks, is quite a commitment. I know folks with cows and you gotta be there, especially dairy.  I like to make plans, but there’s usually a question mark next to them in the calendar. When work comes, I gotta take it. And when the kids need something, I want to be there. Won’t be long and they’ll be long gone. Gonna drink it in every chance. best, dwc
