        23 more days till open season for whitetail here in Minnesota. The closer it gets the more amped I get. I have once again did my early season prep for my ground blinds, but still have some more work to do. Hopefully I will be able to get out this weekend and finish the job!. I have been practicing and tuning my equipment and last night was the first night that I set up my new wood arrows with the woodsman broadheads that I will be shooting. I took a couple test shots and was amazed at how well the flew.

        Hopefully this year will be the year that I get to bring home some meat. I cannot wait to get in the woods in the morning! 23 days, 23 days, I am ready for it to be here.

        Good luck everyone this year and post pictures and videos if you get the chance. I will have my video cameras out in the woods on Sept. 14th!!

          yes, Yes, YES, my brother! I am here in Proctor (Duluth) and I feel what you are saying for shore! But the bittersweetitude of it is that I WON’T get to hunt opening day, for the first time in many years. Last year was my first full-on trad year and my success was unbelievable, never had more pleasure out of archery before or success in the woods as I had last year. Here’s wishing you ultimate good luck! You can do it and you KNOW you can so get out there and do it. I also went with woods last year. LOVE wood arrows. Crap, you got me all stirred up!             19 more days! Got out this past weekend and got the final touches on the new ground blind. I feel pretty darn good about the location, I am kicking myself for not bringing out the burlap that I have the first time I set up the blind cause man that stuff has quite the oder to it. I have my fingers cross that it does not scare off any of the deer and that the smell will go away by the time I am ready to hunt there. My next step it to wash my clothes then toss them in a bag with some of the ground floor of the area that I will be hunting into a bag and seal it off until I am ready to hunt! I am pumped!
