Ive been hunting with a Longbow going on 3 years, learning with every outing. So here I am hunting from behind a ground blind that I Constructed myself out tumbleweed and leaves from palms trees. Ive been hunting that area behind my buddy’s house for 2 years now and have been busted over and over again by the exact 3 same doe’s everytime. I had given up this one evening and told myself that I was going Coon Hunting and that was that. Well right at last light I caught a glimse of large body deer walking across my shooting lane then he dissappeared. Off to my right I saw 2 Does walk in to eat from my pig pipe. I waited for a shot then they ran off as if they had been spooked. I know It wasnt me…….and there he was the same buck that had came from my right had circled the area then approached from the other side. I watched him eat and realized light was running out fast. He turned to leave down into a sand pit and paused for a quick second, I saw my opportunity and let my arrow fly at 26 yds. He Ducked rather quickly but my Abowyer severed his spine. Long story short, i gave thanks to god for the priviledge of seeing and harvesting some meat for my table. Gentlemen and ladies, my 1st Tradbow kill was a 10 Pointer! I dont know how to post pics but i didnt send them to the Admin Lady who oversees these threads. She said she’d post them for me. I sent several but I did not want any pics posted distastefully. Ill let her decide what is appropriate. So there is my Story. If the pics do post, Id like to add that I waited for my buddy to help me because it was one hell of a long walk back to his house dragging a deer. Thats my story and god bless. I am very thankfullllllll

I do not find the pics distasteful, obnoxious, repulsive or otherwise disrespectful. I, for one, do not have “TAXIDERMY EYES” neither am I about to purchase any, as was suggested in an email to me (and most of you all I assume)… so I guess I’ll just keep my photos for me…which is what they are always intended for anyways.
Now go get another, South Texas.

Brings me back to my first kill… not nearly as impressive as a 10 point, but it was also my first white tail ever. It was an incredible experience. I hope to see pics of your 10 point. I had the same experience with does busting me everyday! The same lead doe, with a white spot on her side, would see me in a tree stand every time! I never got to eat that one. She was too smart for me.

Great deer, congratulations! The bow looks like a Tomahawk, is it?
