I just bought a 66″ slim line wing bow, have always shot compounds and now it’s time to get into real archery. Does any know about these bows?

Welcome aboard Kevin! I don’t know much about the Wings but I do own a Damon Howatt and two shakespears, all made in the early 70’s. They shoot great! Just be sure to use a B-50 string as I have been told on more than one occasion that the newer string materials (Fastflight, TS-1, etc) are really hard on the older bows that do not have reinforced tips.

Like most, I have sold off the compound and now shoot traditional bows. Alot more fun for sure. Enjoy!

The Wings are great bows. There are three “groups” of them: The original Wing, Wing by Head Ski, and AMF Wing. Collectors like th originals, but they are all good bows. I think most of the Slim Lines are AMF’s. These bows were made before the advent of hard strings, and Dacron (B50, B55, B500) is recommended. You may do fine with a hard string, but you also may not. Congratulations and enjoy!:D
