        Well all this talk of single bevel heads has me curious, but I don’t have the money to fund a new set of arrows. So does anyone make a single bevel head in a 150 grain wieght that I could use with my current setup? Perhaps someone here has a few used ones up for grabs?

          I’m not sure if you are wanting glue-on or screw-in but the Tusker Concordes come in a 155gr glue-on. By the time you sharpen them (they are tough to sharpen) the weight would be 150+/-. (BraveHeart Archery – 6 for $25)

          I’m sure when you say single-bevel you mean broadheads with all the Ashby specs. The Concordes come very close to meeting all of those specs (MA, Tanto tip, large ferrule, solid, robust, etc). I don’t know of any screw-in in the 150 range that meet the Ashby specs…maybe when Doc logs on the next time he will.

          From what I’ve seen, mfgs are trying to keep inventory levels manageable so they’ve met the Ashby broadhead specs with heavier heads to also meet the FOC specs Ed has guided us on. Mike.

            Sorry about my earlier post Mike, it wasn’t very specific.
            What I am looking for is a single bevel head that can be made into (adapters) or comes in a 150 to 160ish grain wieght. I may tinker with the rest of Dr Ashby’s specs at a later date, but for now I am only interested in the bevel.

              Wildschwein –
              I believe Zwickey is now making the “No Mercy” BH in single bevel — 130 gr weight — should make up close to what you want with the correct adapter [ short 26gr alu ?] — { 3rs}

                Eclispe has the werewolves at 150grns but im not quite sure if they are avaliable. Im anxious to hear how they fly and more importantly how well the hold up against bone…They dont quite look like the Ashby’s but they have the same idea going for them. As far as price, well I do wish we could buy 3 at a time instead of 6 at 90$.

                  Try Abowyer. I think they make glue-on single-bevel BH’s down to about 120 grains. http://www.abowyer.com/abowyer_glue_on_broadheads.html

                      The Werewolf 150’s are in stock and worked very well for me last month. I will be using them again.
