I started with my old Bear old fashioned style glove and tried a tab and then went to a Duraglove. I’m on my second one, with the first one sewed up and packed as a spare. I like it. I can feel the string on my 46# longbow and my fingers are protected. The glove is also thin enough that I feel my string can stay closer to my face when I draw.

I’d recommend one any time for a lighter bow. I’m not sure how it would feel with a much heavier bow. A friend just uses a pair of wool gloves when shooting his selfbow and they work fine. dwc
