    Dry skins are what you want. Not tanned.

    Titebond 2 or 3 will hold the skins right to the bow.

    Afterwards, I always sprayed Helmmen’s Spar varnish in satin on the skins to prevent UV damage.

    I’m following this thread because I think skins on a bow are pretty. My Wife doesn’t like snakes period, so it’s not apt to happen to my bow.:?

    I am curious as to why you have to remove the scales, & what would happen if they weren’t removed?
