    Can’t help myself.

    Still wasn’t happy with the way King Kong was shooting. It would shot fine when I did my part right. I even switched the field point for a broadhead and it flew right on, as long as I did my part.

    Still not totally being happy, I made a new heavier point to see if it would change things. On this point I added another 200grs to see what it would do.

    Well, now everything is back to the way I’m used to seeing shafts fly.

    Anyway, after shooting it several times it was easy to see the shaft was weak. So it was off to the saw.

    Made a cut and went back to shooting. It took several cuts and a lot of shooting to bring the shaft into a fair tune.

    Only problem now is the shaft is down to 29-1/16″. Thats as short as I can shoot without pulling the “long” point back onto the shelf.

    To help I took the point back to the bow room and removed the adpt and ground alittle weight off it. I took the weight from 278grs to 250grs.

    After allowing the glue to dry I tried it again. Flight was better, but now the wind has picked up and with this setup just about any wind really screws with the flight. It would shoot with a slight tail left until the cross wind would catch it and then the tail would swing right. Impact spot was right where I was aiming, but talk about crazy flight.

    I’ve got the shaft fletched now and will try it fletched to see how it does before doing anything else. I can always lighten the point alittle more if needed.

    Now for the unreal news:::::

    I’m hoping the arrow flies correct now that it’s fletched…

    Total weight: 1565grs

    Shhhhhhh,,, BHFOC : 49.78%

    Unreal!!!!
