About Ilias Matane

Growing up my father instilled in me a strong sense of a mans place in the natural world and his responsibility for existing in it. Listening to his hunting and fishing stories from his younger years in New Guinea inspired a romance in me to do things as he, and his fathers before him did. It would only be natural for me to choose the life of a bowhunter as a means to provide for my family whilst connecting with my ancestors through the struggles and frustrations of the simple stick and string.
