        hi i am just starting off with traditional archery. switching from compound to recurve, i was thinking about getting the Hoyt dorado in 50 lb draw weight. i am 25 in a half inch draw length, so i was wondering what arrow spine should i get for carbon arrows and what grain ? 400 with 125 point?

          Welcome! Best thing I can say is get a general idea from this chart provided by 3-Rivers:

          Then see what people here have to say. Are you using feathers of vanes? Are you shooting off the shelf or rest? All these can play a role. There are many great articles in the forums and the magazine about tuning your bow the right way. Check those out as well. Good luck, have fun and be well.
