I interrupt this DEER season with a new “Dear” addition to my family.
A bit later in life than somewhat expected in my youth but……like any “trophy” I give thanks for what the Good Lord Giveth!
My first grand child, Ivori Rayn Reid
After going to the hospital at 5PM yesterday we worried and prayed and comforted those (LIKE ME) in need till 4:33 today.
Both Kali, the mother, and Ivy are in great shape. Healthy and happy! Steve Jr. is a bit frayed though. 😆
We are both exhausted.
She’s the cute one. 😀
God has indeed blessed (can I go hunt now? 😉 )

Congrates Steve,
Pure beauty in it’self.Troy

Steve Sr. Boy does Steve Jr. Look like his father or what………… It a good thing you had a granddaughter to break that cycle……………..LOL:D Or is that you in the picture?
Congratulations to you and your family. The fun begins now!
She looks like a keeper!Glad to hear they are all doing fine. -
Congrats Steve….enjoy

Gorgeous little girl, big contratulations. But I’m confused too: Which Steve is that in the pic, Jr. or Sr. Aside from a touch of grey in the beard, that feller sure doesn’t look like a “late in life” grandpa. The baby’s yawn makes me want a nap. Dave

Dave, thanks for bailing me out!If I submitted my picture there would be no confusion:D:D CONGRATULATIONS TO STEVE AND HIS FAMILY

You can now take her hunting for her birthday present! Congrats.
I too am confused by the guy in the picture. It’s the same feeling I get when I see a doe and I can’t tell right away if she’s mature enough to shoot. I always go by the length of her nose. Whichever Steve it is looks like his spots just faded out. I’l let him walk this season…

Yep………..tis me.
YOU guys and gals wont be able to see the resemblance but even with the “extra ornamentation” Steve Jr is recognized as my son by some that havent seen ME for decades.
Ahhhhhhh youth…….Did MY own father scratch his head watching me grow up too? lol
I love Steve Jr. age 22, (Stinker to the old man) more than my next breath as I do Eric John, his “big brother” (who is 100lbs smaller) age, 37.
Loved by everyone who knows him “Big Steve” as Steve Jr has been labled by many is 6 foot 3 and 275 lbs. He himself was a “miracle baby” born to a 42 year old mom that was told “she could never conceive, let alone carry to full term”. 😀
My only real “regret” is that neither boy hunts or has an interest yet is a small thing compared to all that could have been.
Sorry if my post was confusing…..I was still walking on “Cloud 9”.
Truly blessed and Thankful,
God Bless

Big Steve and ye olde Man last year.
NOT quite “identical”. (He stooped down for the photo. God love him!!)
Thanks to all for the “congrats”!!
Life is INDEED, not measured by the number of breaths you take …….but by the times that take your breath away.
My life, while a rollercoaster of ups and downs, has had such moments, like this one, that shame all others by comparison.
A full week of 12 hour shifts then………..OFF TO THE WOODS!
God Bless

Congratulations to everyone involved! We became grandparents in August and it is the best club ever! 😀

Congratulations!!! We’ve got a little plaque on our dresser that reads “If we had known grandkids were so much fun we would have had then first” I’m sure you are looking forward to spending a lot of time with your new shooting partner.

My boys are 12, one hunts, one fly fishes, both great athletes. Wonderful, vibrant smart kids…fatherhood is only club that trumps our club here guys to me. Hug her, her daddy her uncle, her mom, grandmom etc etc every chance you get….:D
