The major reason I joined is the on topic questions and the helpful and respectful answers given by it’s members. I thought this forum was kinda ghetto with it’s only having 3 subforums(where do I post my recipes and flyfishing pics) but I see there is a “method to the madness”, it kinda weeds out the “riff-raff” (but somehow I’m still here and with only ONE slap from Mom hehehe) and keeps the focus on traditional bow hunting, brilliant.
Thank you tradbow.com for this site, Mom for your hard work, and it’s members that share their knowledge, thoughts and experience…

It really is awesome! It has become part of my daily ritual to come on here and check things out. This is my number 1 source to get info on trad help. Somethings I may not use now but put it on the backburner for future use. Love this website and the magazine!!!

Wow! I’m honored to be the Webmom here, but the forum is great because of our members. Some come and stay for a long time and some just pass through. All are welcome. I couldn’t do my job without great members.
I can’t believe it has been five years (11/1) since we launched our “new” site. Since then, the amount of information gathered and the new friends we have made is astounding. Keep in mind this site is more than just three forums…we have Feature Articles that aren’t printed in the magazine, Tip of the Week archives, photo galleries, classified ads, the complete Ashby Library, as well as digital current and sold out issues for Premium Members.
Traditional Bowhunter is successful because we really hunt with this stuff. We love it as much as you do! We feel very lucky to do this for a living and we never take our readers or advertisers for granted. Thanks for the kind words!
Just for the record, like any good “Mom” I don’t keep track of “course corrections” and I only remember how much I enjoy the great parts of my job. The others things are done and quickly forgotten. 😀
Have a great weekend! I’ll be lurking in the background if you need me.

Onsey,
You won’t get to see them in print, but you can always send ME your recipes and such…
As for “course Corrections”, shoot, I got a few, but always a note from Mom explaining what could have been done differently and should in the future. Always courteous and illuminating. Find THAT on other sites!

I’m cool with recipes that use animals you killed with traditional equipment. So fish and fowl only if you killed it with a bow. Venison, jerky, methods of preservation…all okay with me! If I’ve deleted those in the past, I’m sorry 😳 I’ll try to be more consistent.

Coolio!!! I have some killer recipes for game. It was just kinda a joke about recipes/flyfishing, this site is great because of it’s ONLY being about traditional bow topics(witness “other” sites where just about anything goes, and it’s a kerfuddle)…
Thanks again Mom (and remember, I’m the good son hehehe)…

Kerfuffle — Scotch Gaelic origins, meaning disheveled, confused, in a state of disturbance. A fuss.
