        This year I drew an elk tag for unit 76 in Colorado. This unit is an incredible high altitude limited tag unit with a lot of elk. I felt very lucky and priviledged to be able to hunt there, what an adventure it was. Once the rut kicked in the bulls went crazy and I had a blast chasing them around. I made a short slideshow on photobucket.com if your interested.

        For this hunt I used my 65# Bighorn recurve with heavy single beveled Grizzly tipped arrows. I watched him tip over seconds after the shot.

          WOW!!! That was AWESOME! Looks like a great trip and a beautiful bull. Congratulations. The slide show is amazing. Real shame about the skull, but there’s always next year. Maybe it will still be there and you might just get another tag. Great Job.

                              Thank you for sharing this hunt with us. The pictures were great. I showed them to my wife as I explained to her why we needed to apply for a elk hunt in Colorado. This may have given me the edge:wink:
