Here are a couple of arrow building related How-to videos I did the last few weeks. Thought some of you might be interested in them.

The first one shows in detail how to get some fancy spliced feathers.

The second one shows how to use water based airbrush paint as a stain for wood shafts.

          Cool, very detailed.

Maybe I missed it but how did you come out on your hog hunt with the homemade trade points?

Duncan the short story on the hogs is they were run off by some folks on the other side of the bayou from where I was hunting back in Nov. Dec. wasn’t real friendly to me from a time standpoint, so now I’m getting ready to see if they are back. Nice thing about hogs, we can hunt them 365 days a year.

I did pop a coon with one of those arrows, it wasn’t pretty (for the coon). The head worked great, busted his shoulder, back of the skull and front of the skull before stopping. I’m sure if and when I get a chance, they will do the job on a hog.

Enjoyed the videos. Is the weather still conducive for hunting the hogs?

The weather being conducive for hog hunting depends on which day of the week it is this time of the year…..

We are having everything from lows in the 20s to highs in the 80s so it is kind of pick and choose the right evening to hunt.

Good luck with the hog hunting. Hopefully bacon comes your way soon.
