Been lucky so far, knock on wood. There’s been stomach virus going on with our boys (grandsons)and bypassed us, hopefully.

Started last night with a sore throat. We’ll see where it goes from here. Get well soon.

Favorite wife down + 8 days. Now residual cough + 4 and counting. She had a flu shot too. Hot brandies with lots of ginger/clove/cinnamon/lemon helped her sleep.

I’m going to have to get a refill on the brandy tomorrow. Goooood medicine!

I had the flu this year……courtesy of my 5 year old. Haven’t had it in many years. It was terrible…..took me a week or so to get back to anything resembling normal.

Flu shot is standard for me these days. I caught something like a cold over Christmas. Finally seems to be breaking up. Thurs and Fri were tough being at work but feeling better today and got Mon and Tues off yippie! Happy New years ya’ll!

Bronchitis for me… Day 3 and counting

Had a URI (Upper Respiratory Infection) about 2 weeks ago. Lasted a week. Co-worker is out right now with a [lab-confirmed] case of the flu. I work in a Long-Term Care Facility (formerly known as a “Nursing Home”). We have had a few respirator outbreaks here, but no confirmed flu cases. We have also had a few GI (stomach) bugs. We managed to control them before it spread too much. All-in-all, it is about normal for staff and residents for this time of year. Seems the increase in visitors (for the holidays) brings with it all the little nasties. Wish you all a speedy recovery and a Happy New Year. Be well.
