          I believe it has become the trend nationwide Dave. A friend of mine that recently retired from the MN DNR said when he started in the early 70’s it was about a 50/50 split between politics and science when it came to resource management. Now he say it is more like 95/5 and the 5 is fading fast.:evil:

              Great write up Dave. I solicited myself to be on the working group for the working group for the CP&W bear management committee that was directed by the legislative committee that voted to postpone this bill, so that all stake holders have a voice in this. (If this working group ever comes to be)

              The fact they tried to rush this bill through, without consulting the biologists and staff of the CP&W says a lot about the politicians intentions.
