        Well, there is venison on the dinner table thanks to my daughter. Granted, it’s not a bow kill but for a busy 14 year old basketball starter, first chair soprano in choir, honor roll student who helps lead worship at our church I think we can cut her some slack. She already has a schedule busier than mine with precious little free time to shoot her bow.

        This is her second whitetail and she killed 2 turkeys last April. She is a hardcore predator but also took the time to pay respect to the animals she’s killed with a “thank you” whispered each time she took a life(without any prompting from Dad). More proud I could not be.

          awesome, good to see the face I debate with, lol. It is awesome that you are able to get your daughter in the woods, from what I have heard it is hard getting women into the outdoors?! Just what I have heard, my mom and sister wouldnt dream of that in there nightmares, lol. But they were city folk not too long ago. Congrats again!!!

            She’s been hunting with me since about 7 yrs old. Not your typical 14 year old girl, dressed her 2nd turkey by herself and did alot of this deer. While she wears makeup and likes to dress up, she wears her country girl raising like a badge of honor. She’s just cool, of course I’m hardly objective.

            Got an 8 yr old that helped me clean squirrels this September. Her time is coming soon. I truly would rather be with them when they make a kill than make the kill myself. Crap, I got the shakes this mornin’ when my oldest got this doe.

              Johnny2 and unnamed daughter- Those are two photos that really touched me- it’s trad enough for me! Especially the 2nd one with her hand on the does’ head- a hunter with a great love and respect and remorse too at the climax of the hunt. Going to have to be an extraordinary husband for this one- especially since he has to go through you first! Thank you and God bless you and your daughters- Good hunting-

                What really makes me proud about the second photo is that it was not posed. She didn’t even know I took that picture till afterward. She was just looking at the does ears, fur, etc. and I took several pictures of it.

                  these said even more than the pics. You are evidently doing a GREAT job as a Dad and a man. I have a daughter almost 14 and it is our job & privaledge to raise them,, just as you seem to be doing. My respect to you!!!
                  Im trying to raise mine my best, she lives with her Mom, but when shes with me , I do all I can to instill the things a young person needs these days. Igrew up without a Dad, and that makes me ever moreso want to make the difference in my daughters life.

                  My kiddo is telling me she wants to shoot a deer,, but Im such a newb I cant help much ,,yet. Im gonna learn though.

                    I’ve gotta say, when I first saw that second photo, I thought it was WAY over-the-top. BUT, now knowing it wasn’t posed COMPLETELY changes that in my eyes, and makes it a GREAT photo. Regardless though, congrats to both of you.

                    And like the Greatreearcher said in so many words, it’s nice to FINALLY see the face of my adversary. :lol::lol: (I know…I joke too much.)

                        Oh, you guys think the ugly dude in the photo is me? That’s just a buddy I had sit in so I could maintain my aura of mystery on this site. Do you really think a redneck lookin’ guy like that uses words like “aura”?:wink::D I got more of a Brad Pitt/Robert Redford look, at least that’s what my wife says.:lol:

                        If you’ll notice in the first picture she’s touching the does neck. She patted her from the time we recovered her till we field dressed her.

                        I should have introduced my daughter to ya’ll. Her name is Madison

                            Awesome pictures, congrats to you and your daughter! I have an eight year old that likes to hunt with me, and I hope she will still be hunting with me when she reaches your daughters age. Thanks for sharing that!

                                wow that second picture reminds me of what Brian does in the Gary Paulson series(Hatchet, brians winter, ect). And it is something that I have always done myself. Kinda thanking the animal and the great one up above for the opportunity to put some clean meat on the table!
