Said it well—wonderful weather, the courses were awesome some tough and easy terrain, and the target presentation was superb. Great job by the ETAR staff,

It goes without saying that the best part was the great folks we meet and those two guys who kept the conversation going, many good laughs had by all.

And I got “my” hug from web mom thanks Robin, now can you do something about the breaking and entering charge? My friend Mr. Ed has joined trad bow and we will likely see him here soon—welcome back to the trad bow tribe.

See you all next year and as coldpak said this event is not to be missed.

I wish I could have made it but life has been busy this summer. 😡

                  Maybe next year.

Now, I got to go roving at my new place! Talk to ya soon!8)

I really had a great time at this shoot! Seeing colmike, brennanherr, Ed, jmsmithy and coldpak was a wonderful treat. It’s always fun to put a face with a name.

Mike, we are all off the hook an the B&E charge. 😉 The parks department was very understanding.

Let’s give a shout out to all the hard working staff. Not sure if anyone saw how the targets get out there. I meet to young guys repairing and replacing targets. I wish I took a picture they were running up those hills with the targets on there backs. Youth they were like little mountain goats.

                      Great job.

Apparently so… I was curious how it would go with the rumors of it ending but a good friend was there, said the courses were good, didn’t miss the expense of the chair lift .. so all in all it was a Great Shoot in his mind.

It got to the point when I attended for many years, that you had to go earlier and earlier in the week to get a camping spot…people started coming in the weekend before, putting up stuff and leaving and coming back late in the week…

I was burning my hunting vacation to go earlier and earlier just to camp in rustic conditions before the Chem Toilets showed up, –I just decided I’d rather spend the time actually hunting and saved my vacation…

Now it’s not an issue…retarded (retired?) and in TN but now, NO way I’m driving THAT far for a shoot! I know some do… not me. My old bones don’t travel that far well…

Glad it was a good time, good weather, no tornadoes or… mud to your knees, etc. The Faithful attenders deserved a good year. Vendors too…

A great shoot as usual, but this time I got to me Robin Conrads. Great lady. The rest of you crusty curmudgeons may be okay, I guess. 😉

Hay George, long time no post on this forum. Glad to see you are maybe luring around anyways…

As for who’s the crustiest of the crusty curmudgeons… do I have to spell it out? 😀

Sorry I didn’t make it. I like the group picture, I look really good on it! I should be invisible more often! 😛

My whereabouts, DWC, were all over NYC, Hudson Valley and Long Island with my nephew who came from Switzerland on the Denton weekend to stay with me for 3 weeks. He just left! I also moved out of New York City on July 31st! I moved to Beacon, NY

I also had my grandson for the weekend during Denton

I tell you, between entertaining a teenager , an 8 year old, touring and packing for a move, it was a perfect storm!! I’m going to Colorado tomorrow for a week then directly to the next gigs in Alabama, GA and NC.

Alex. What a great time you must have had. How can you be a grandad though? I’m older than you and my oldest is going into jr high! ❗ one of these days we’ll have to teach some stumps a lesson or two. I look forward to it. Going to visit anyone we know in Co. ? All the best to ya. Dwc

David, I’m writing while still in my sleeping bag in David P’s house, with 4×6 Elk antlers lurking over me! The same 4×6 I helped him pack out 4 years ago! I rented a car and I’m heading to the San Juan National Forest today, joining Thomas and Joey Downing’s high camp at 10500ft. I will be hunting opening day for the first time and for 6 full days, mostly alone down the dark canyons. Friday, I fly straight to my next gigs: Birmingham Saturday, Atlanta Sunday. Home monday! I’ll keep you posted!

PS: My daughter was born 2 weeks shy of my 18th birthday!8)

What a pleasant wake up. Please extend a firm handshake to Mr. P for me. Seldom a day goes by when I don’t feel an appreciation for his ability to sum up many of my feelings into words. Have a great hunt! I know it will be a success, whatever the outcome. peace, david

Christopher (the film maker) should have the movie “On The Wild Edge” out to contributors in a few weeks. David is unsure when it will be on sale (to every one else) from his website. But soon there after.

Trust me it’s worth the wait:D
