I was in the garage today and i noticed all of these plastic milk and drink jugs my wife had put int the recycle bin. Shee like to play her small part in making the world more green. Any how, I got an idea. I grabed an armfull of those jugs and took out to the back and threw them all over the ground. Then I went and got my bow with a bunch of blunt tips and just started shooting at all of those jugs. Never had so much fun stump shooting. I also noticed that the size of a 1 gallon milk jug is about the same side as the vitals of a deer. Don’t worry when I finished I put them back in the recycle bin the wife was never the wiser. give it a try it is a blast.

This is a good idea. I will do that in the next couple days.

kinda sad but I shoot at trash in my area of the woods. I clean it up but sure enough it is back the next time I go out. Plastic bottles on top of my target is fun too.

A few months ago I visited Zwickey archery to pick up some broaheads and judo points. Jack Zwickey, the owner was telling me about the milk jug courses he sets up. Apparently he sets milk jugs up around his property similar to a 3d course..some hung from trees…others just laying on the ground. They glue on some judo points and get after it.

Sounds like a lot of fun to me…I live in the city so I don’t have the room set up an entire course but I defiantly have shot at plastic containers. Sometimes it is nice to see your target explode instead of your arrow hitting the same stationary bale. 😀

I’ve had this idea too, but in my case it was with a beer…I mean an aluminum can. After a few shots with a small game head, it was metal shreads, but yes it was a blast! I couldn’t shoot until I emptied the can though…..

I’LL TELL YOU WHAT I DO FOR FUN AND GREAT TARGET PRACTICE. I BUY A HUGE BAG OF PARTY BALLOONS WHICH ARE SUPER CHEAP AND YOU CAN BLOW THEM UP TO DIFFERENT SIZES FOR DIFFERENT CHALLENGES AND HANG EM OR STICK EM TO ABOUT ANYTHING AND ON WINDY DAYS THEY MAKE FOR GREAT MOVING TARGETS. YOU STILL HAVE TO PICK UP THE REMAINS BUT THAT POP AND DISAPPEAR JUST ADDS TO THE EXCITEMENT. ANYWAY, THATS MY 2 CENTS.

I’ve been known to shoot at the Dandylion heads in our backyard. Great practice for Gophers & Grouse.

Along with the water jugs, I fill them up with spray foam It takes about half of can for 1 gallon water jug, give it a couple of days to dry then use them. I’ve also tied them to the side of a tree and use them for squirels. Works great
