Hello
Just have to share a funny path a thing in life can take:
I am a long time TBM subscriber and Elkhearts writings have been among the best in my opinion. Dave has mentioned A. Leopold several times in his texts – well here in Finland Leopold is not so known and his books are not readily awailable, so I have never readed anything from him. Today I was searching web about something about spirituality and forest and relationship between man and nature ( Finnish authors ) and there I came to these notes about Aldo Leopold.
Knowing the man ( Aldo) from Daves writings I was immediately hooked! Now I just asked our library to order a copy of sand county almanac to its collections. I found fisrt chapters of the book from amazon website and Aldos style seems to be in its own class!
So – again thank you so many ways for helping a individual to keep growing!

Make sure you read “For the Health of the Land” (http://www.amazon.com/For-Health-Land-Previously-Unpublished/dp/1559637641), and “Round River” (http://www.amazon.com/Round-River-Galaxy-Book-372/dp/0195015630), too.
I have a spare copy of “A Sand County Almanac”, should your library not come through.
