Here are the first two of my Pig Stickers – Tapered Sitka Spurce self nocks with 200grain Saw Blade Trade Point heads. Total arrow weight is 560 grains with a Front of Center of 24%. They may be just a hair heavy for my #45 self bow but I’m banking on a shot of 10 yards or less, so they should really thump a piggie.
Here is the first shot of each of them I took a 10 yards. They are sure dialed in for that range, so I’m a little pumped right now. Can’t wait to get on the pigs this weekend.

Purty work there Bounty Hunter. I got to get busy and make some of those for my self bow. Hope you do good on the pigs this weekend.

Those look absolutely wicked. I smell bacon…

Hot dogs, Derik. I’m doubly jealous — of both your evil-gorgeous arrows and your piggie population. Go get some. Dave

Thanks guys! Will be trying to climb into the stand around 4 AM in the morning. If nothing by daylight I’ll try them again about 11 PM. I left my camera in test mode so I don’t have them patterned very good yet. Might take a few day to be in the stand when the hogs show up. Can’t sit them stands as many hours as I once could. 🙁

This morning was a bust. Camera said they were there between 9 and 11 last night, so I’m going to slide back over about 8 these evening.

Thanks Lee! I’m actually hunting just outside the city limits of Alvin, TX. I’m right next to Chocolate Bayou and there are a ton of pigs there. The are getting into the people’s yards in the subdivision next to Chocolate and that is why I’m out there. Last year I was sucessful in running them off and putting pork in the freezer. Well they came back and tearing folks yards up again, so I got a phone call. They are smarter this year, so that makes if fun to see if I can figure them out, kill a few and run them off. The subdivision doesn’t want anyone out there with guns, so that is perfect.
